Well, bro-lita I should say. My name is James! and I'm from Charleston! Used to be part of the Central Florida Lolita Society but alas I'm far too far to regularly attend meet-ups or see them. I look forward to meeting some new Lolita(s) and possibly making some new friends. ^_^
Hey, just thought I'd let you ladies know, for those of you who are SCAD students or friends with a SCAD student and want to sew, I offloaded a bunch of lolitable cotton print fabric into the fabric bin in room 207 of Eckburg Hall, the fashion building, at Henry and Barnard/Whitaker. Beatrix Potter print, classic floral stripe, achingly sweet multicolor cherry prints, Burtony stripes... mostly enough to make a simple skirt, so if you need an excuse to start your first project, get ye to Eckburg before the other students nab it for mockups or something.
UPDATE: Meet Up will be Thursday, October 28th at 7pm - Details about where to meet, how to get there, etc., will be posted October 22nd.
Would anyone like to get together for a meetup at the end of the month? A picnic during the afternoon, or an evening ghost tour or a trip for frozen yogurt (since the two places just opened up downtown)? Maybe a fall-themed photo shoot or something? Ideas, comments, suggestions?
^_^So is anyone interested in doing an evening meet up with a ghost tour? I have a friend who does them, and she's really good. We could meet up for snacks/drinks/smoothies/photos, go on the walking tour, and then end the evening with something sweet - maybe another tour of some sweet spots - Leopold's, a go for Frozen Yogurt, the two Sweet Shops on River Street, etc.
Her website is here: www.bonniebluetours.com/home
. We could do a 1 1/2 hour tour for 15$ each (5$ off for locals) or if we can get a group of at least six, we can go for 10$ each.

Please note that the information you see here is liable to change
The 'String(s)' lineup features everything from exquisite to hardcore items mainly in black. For the spring season we have various items that each has colors other than black to provide an accent.

Hello Savannah Lolis :)
I don't know if intros are allowed here but if not you can take it down :)
But I'm from Florida originally but I'm moving to Savannah on September 10th and going to attend at SCAD :) I was wondering if theres anyone who goes there since I only had my best friend as a loli when I was in FL. So I would love to get to know you all :D
I haven't been to tea in a while, I was thinking about going out Tuesday or Thursday, and maybe also to Wild Fibre. If anyone is in town, would you like to go? ^_^ We could make it a small meetup, as fancy or as casual as anyone would like.
Hey everyone, noticed it's been rather quiet, so I kinda just wanted to say hi to all of you and hope you guys are all having a great summer!
I totally miss Savannah, and have every intention to have an awesome tea party or something once I get back in September & get settled in (I have been planning it out in my head all summer hahaha) so let's hope people still check the comm then ;)
So, I hope everyone's having a good time, I've been really busy lately with work but still managing to squeeze in some fun with friends, as well as occasional tag saleing - so far I found this gorgeous telephone bench and antique chair! Also, working on my blog, and I don't know if any of you are interested in lolita blogs, I'm going to shamelessly plug you to mine, which I started in May, so take a peep at http://sweet-teef.blogspot.com
How's everyone's Summer going! Taing summer classes? Discover any cute new places in Savannah? Get any new dresses? Know any new lolitas coming into town for school this fall?
Sorry it's been a bit quiet lately, I've personally been pretty busy with school. It's a shame the petticoats & parasols thing at Back in the Day bakery didn't work out, I was swamped with work at the time!Edit:
SOO I'm just kinda putting the idea out there, wondering if anyone would be interested in having a meet up sometime soon?
I head back home at the end of May and probably won't be around until August/September - which also reminds me, if anyone would be interested in being a summer mod? I don't even really expect any modding to even be necessary, but if I won't be physically in Savannah for a couple months, would you guys feel better about having someone who will be?
- but alas I digress. I'm hoping I'll have some free time before finals to try and have another meet up before I leave (and I'm sure some of you will be heading out as well if you're a SCAD student).
And if another meet is put together, would you prefer a no/low cost or be willing to maybe do a lunch at a tea room or something?
How would you guys feel about Lulu's Chocolate Bar or Whimsical Teacup? Everything on Lulu's dessert menu is under $10, and if you're able to get drinks they're all $10 (and their Daily Happy Hour 5-8 pm $7 martinis) aside from the "Lulutini" . They're open Sunday-Thursday from 5-midnight and Friday-Saturday 5-1am (though I don't think we'll be out that late). We could walk around River Street/Broughton beforehand or something, like alicecontrary's sweet meetup idea in the previous post.
OR Whimsical Teacup. I'm not too sure on the prices but I don't think they're too expensive either.
The dates I'm thinking of are either May 21st, 22nd, or 23rd.
I was thinking about hosting a meetup this month and wondered if anyone would be interested?
I had a couple ideas: we could have a craft meetup where everyone gets to make a cutsew (tshirts would be provided) and everyone can bring a trim or some kind of fun decoration to share.
We could have a sweet treat meetup or outing; we could get icecream or go to a bakery or pastry shop or to tea, everyone gets to dress up and we could have a photo shoot downtown.
I was also wondering if anyone is interested in going to Metrocon in Tampa the weekend of July 22nd? I know it's months away. I've met a lot of nice lolitas there, and I thought it would be fun for the Savannah lolis to hang out with the Florida lolis.
If you have a meetup idea or suggestion or something definitely post it!
How many people would be interested in having an evening meet up Friday April 23rd at Back in the Day Bakery? They are hosting a Cupcake Vendor Night for an existing weekend women's art/creativity retreat and there is a 5$ cover.
